Guide to Installing and Customizing the TradingView Mobile App

Application Installation 

Where can I find and download the app? 

Our mobile app is available on the App Store (for iOS 14.0 and above) and Google Play (for Android 7.0 and above). 

 

My device isn't supported—what can I do? 

iOS 

If the app page in the App Store indicates "Available for iOS 16.0 and above," then your current iOS version isn't compatible. However, you can still download the latest version suitable for your device. We recommend updating your iOS to version 16 or higher to access the newest features. 

 

Android 

If the app version 1.20.2.936 or earlier appears on Google Play, it isn't supported on your device. The app supports Android 8.0 and newer. Nonetheless, you can download the latest compatible version for your device. Updating your Android OS to version 8.0 or higher is advised to enjoy all features. 

 

How can I enable dark mode? 

For both iOS and Android devices: 

1. Open the Menu screen. 

2. Tap the Dark Theme toggle switch (this appears once the chart loads fully). 

3. If your chart theme isn't set to default, you'll be prompted to keep your current setting or apply the new theme. 

 

How do I change the app's language? 

To switch languages on iOS or Android: 

1. Open the Menu tab. 

2. Go to Settings. 

3. Select Language. 

4. Choose your preferred language. 

The app will automatically update to display in your chosen language. 

Note: This change will also affect the public chats list and the ideas feed. 

 

How can I remove or customize an indicator? 

To remove an indicator or access its settings, open the chart legend by clicking the arrow button located beneath the symbol name.

 

 

 

Follow these subsequent steps:

1. Tap the trash bin icon to delete an indicator;

2. Tap the gear icon to modify an indicator's settings.

 

How can I hide or show an indicator in the Android application?

There are two methods to conceal or reveal an indicator:

Option 1: Tap the eye icon located in the indicator legend:

 

 

Option 2:

- Access the Analysis Hub menu located near the Drawings icon in the bottom toolbar;

- Scroll down within the menu;

- Select the Object Tree icon by clicking on it.

 

 

 

Choose the appropriate indicator and adjust its visibility options within the pop-up window.

 

 

You can modify your drawing tools similarly. 

How can I hide or show an indicator in the iOS app? 

To adjust the indicator's visibility, tap on the eye icon in the legend beneath the ticker name:

 

 

 

How to Enable or Disable Buy/Sell Buttons in the App 

To toggle the Buy/Sell Buttons on or off in your Android or iOS app, follow these steps:

 

1. Tap the gear icon located in the bottom right corner of the chart. 

2. Access the "More Settings" menu. 

3. Tap the back arrow to return, then open the "Trading" menu. 

4. Select or deselect the "Show Buy/Sell Buttons" option as desired.

 

How Can I Access a Mobile Screener? 

Currently, mobile screener functionality (for both iOS and Android) is not available. However, we plan to introduce this feature soon. Please stay tuned for future updates!

 

How Do I Change the Default Chart in the App? 

When you launch the iOS mobile app, it will load the last chart you viewed either on the web or on the TradingView Desktop application. 

 

To open a different chart layout on the mobile app, go to the bottom menu and select the desired chart.

 

 

How can I modify the default chart that appears in the app? 

When you open the iOS mobile application, it shows the most recent chart you viewed, whether on the web browser or TradingView Desktop. 

To load a different chart layout in the mobile app, go to the bottom menu.

 

How can I locate a mobile screening location? 

Connectivity problems in Vietnam 

Some users might encounter difficulties when trying to access the Vietnamese language application. To resolve this, you should modify the DNS settings on your device. 

For Android devices: 

Step 1: Navigate to Settings -> Network & Internet

 

Step 2: Choose the Private DNS section

 

Step 3: Set DNS address:

 

iOS

Step 1: Go to Settings -> Wi-Fi

Step 2: Tap on settings (i) of the connected network

Step 3: Choose Configure DNS section

Step 4: Set manual DNS address:
