Ensuring Accurate Drawing Points and Managing Magnet Mode on Your Chart

Drawing points do not snap accurately to OHLC values. To have drawing points automatically snap to the OHLC values of bars, you should enable Magnet Mode located on the left side of your chart; the icon will turn blue when it is activated.

 

 

 

The magnet sensitivity can be modified via the magnet mode menu.

 

 

 

A strong magnet attracts the drawing points toward chart values (bars), regardless of the distance between them. A weak magnet pulls the drawing points toward chart values (bars) only when you draw near to them.

 

 

 

Cursor lag or jump during drawing

 

If you experience unusual behavior while drawing—such as being unable to set an anchor point in a specific area—it may be due to Magnet Mode being enabled. Magnet Mode causes all movable drawing elements to attach to OHLC values, which can make cursor movement challenging.

 

To turn off Magnet Mode, click the magnet icon in the left-hand menu (the icon will turn white when disabled).

 

Please ensure that Magnet Mode is turned off on your chart:

Magnet Mode can also be toggled on or off by holding the Ctrl/Command key while drawing. 

 

 

My chart or cursor is slow 

Please be aware that performance can vary based on several factors, such as the number of open tabs in your browser or browsers on your system, installed extensions (like Adblock), which can impact browser performance, and how long the browser has been running without a restart. 

 

To address freezing or slowness, try the following steps: 

• Reload the chart page 

• Restart your browser 

• Close unnecessary tabs (keep only your chart open) 

• Remove or disable unnecessary browser extensions 

• Switch to a different browser 

 

My chart or cursor is slow 

Please note that various factors can influence performance, including the number of open tabs in your browsers, extensions such as Adblock, which add to browser load, and the duration since your last restart. 

 

To troubleshoot freezing or lagging issues, consider these steps: 

• Reload your chart page 

• Restart your browser 

• Close extra tabs (except for your chart) 

• Disable or remove browser extensions 

• Use an alternative browser 

 

I can't see the crosshair line. 

This is likely because you've selected a cursor type that doesn't support the crosshair feature. Currently, only the “Cross” and “Dot” cursor types display a crosshair, whereas “Arrow” and “Eraser” types do not. 

 

You can change your cursor type by adjusting it in the top left corner of your screen.
