Unsupported Chart Types and How to Trade with Historical Data

Bar Replay feature is currently unavailable, as the Replay toolbar is not displayed. We do not support replaying the following:

- Spreads (formulas involving multiple symbols)

- Non-traditional chart types (such as Renko, Kagi, Point & Figure, Range, Line Break, Heikin Ashi, Volume Footprint, Time Price Opportunity)

- Charts converted to non-default currencies

- Tick-based charts

If you click the Replay button and the replay panel does not appear, it is likely because one of these unsupported chart types or symbols was selected.

How to trade using historical data:

In Bar Replay mode, you can trade based on historical data. This mode is separate from Paper Trading. Please note that trade data and overall results are only available during the session and are not saved afterward. To begin, simply click on Replay Trading and start the Bar Replay.

Prior to clicking the Play button, you have the option to set your starting capital, primary currency, and commission rate in the relevant menu within the Replay Trading panel. These configurations will influence your trading session, so it's important to customize them to suit your preferences.

Historical data trading becomes accessible immediately after selecting the starting point. You can only place market orders that execute at the current chart price. The number of positions to open can be specified, with default values set to 1 unit for all symbol types except Forex, which defaults to 1000 units. When purchasing a position directly on the chart, execution points are shown as arrows indicating the quantity and price of the trade. To close an open position, click the Flatten button on the market simulator panel; this button is enabled when a position is active and disabled when no position is open.

You have the ability to engage with a position directly on the chart. By dragging and dropping TP/SL components onto the chart, you can establish bracket orders to safeguard your position. To close a position, use either the cross button or the context menu. Reversing a position can be performed through the reverse position button or the context menu.

Within the position, the chart displays the unrealized profit or loss, while the market simulator panel indicates the realized profit or loss. The currency for profit or loss aligns with the currency of the respective symbol.

To view more trading statistics, visit the Overview, Performance Summary, and List of Trades tabs within the Replay Trading panel. Additionally, the Performance Summary and List of Trades can be exported for detailed analysis or documentation purposes.

Once the replay concludes, if at least one trade has been executed, a pop-up will display the trading results for that session.
