Who Are the Founders of Ethereum?

There are eight co-founders of Ethereum, which is a lot for a crypto project. They met for the first time on June 7, 2014, in Zug, Switzerland.

- Vitalik Buterin, a Russian-Canadian, is the most recognized founder. He wrote the original paper about Ethereum and still works on improving it. Before this, he was involved with Bitcoin Magazine.

- Gavin Wood is another key founder. He created the first version of Ethereum's technology, suggested a programming language for it called Solidity, and was its first chief technology officer. Before Ethereum, he worked at Microsoft.

Other co-founders include:

- Anthony Di Iorio, who helped fund the project early on.

- Charles Hoskinson, who helped set up the Ethereum Foundation in Switzerland.

- Mihai Alisie, who assisted in establishing the Foundation.

- Joseph Lubin, a Canadian entrepreneur who also helped fund Ethereum and later started a company called ConsenSys to support Ethereum projects.

- Amir Chetrit, who co-founded Ethereum but left early in its development.
