Ton Coin Bridge Closing May 2025

The Ton Coin Bridge will be closed on May 10, 2025. The TON network, which is Telegram's blockchain platform, announced that the Ton Coin Bridge will cease operations on that date. After this date, users will no longer be able to transfer their Ton Coins between the TON network and Ethereum or BNB Smart Chain. However, users who have already completed transfers before the closure will still be able to receive their tokens afterward. Currently, transferring Ton Coins to the TON network is still possible, but this feature will soon be discontinued. The Ton Coin Bridge played a significant role in the growth of the TON network, especially during its early stages when Ton Coins were not listed on centralized exchanges and the DeFi sector within the network was not yet developed. It served as the primary tool for transferring Ton Coins to other blockchains like Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain.
