Bitcoin Dominance Hits Four-Year High Amid Institutional Inflows

Bitcoin's market dominance has reached its highest level in four years, increasing to 64%. While Bitcoin is trading above $97,000, this upward trend is supported by substantial institutional investment inflows through exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and corporate purchases, such as Metaplanet's acquisition of 5,000 Bitcoins. Conversely, Ethereum (ETH) has experienced a 15% growth but now accounts for only 7.4% of the total market share, marking its lowest level since January 2020. Analysts believe Bitcoin's dominance may soon peak, potentially signaling the start of the altcoin season. However, legal uncertainties and weak fundamentals could delay this shift.
